Students of all ages and levels are welcome to dive into the exhilarating medium of watercolor. Join Beatriz at beautiful lake Lanier on either Friday, August 26th, or Saturday, August 27th as she takes you on a watercolor journey! Students will learn all basic watercolor techniques and how to apply them.

Friday Fun and Art on the Lake Workshop
Explore drawing and or painting outside and capture the beauty of beautiful Lake Lanier. Instructor demonstration will be in pastels, but feel free to join the class and explore plein air(outdoor) painting in whatever medium you feel comfortable with. The workshop focuses on choosing your subject, composition considerations and techniques to effectively capture the landscape quickly. We will leave from Beatriz’s private dock in her boat and will go to one of the unspoiled and only boat accessible beaches of Lake Lanier.

Mother-Daughter Workshop
As a mother, we always look for a quality time to spend with our daughters. This 3 hours workshop is designed specifically for busy moms who would like to enjoy time with their daughters while experiencing and creating new art pieces.
Come with your daughter and learn together how to use the exciting new medium Pan Pastels. Pan Pastels are a 21st century invention, significantly different from the soft pastels from which they are based. They are a dry color medium that can be applied like paint.

You will have the opportunity to paint with semi moist non toxic under-glazes to create a watercolor like effect on your dish.
Beatriz will help you create your design or transfer one of her own and will assist you by giving clear instructions on how to execute the painting process.
All the painted bisque-ware dishes will be glazed and fired in a ceramic kiln and ready to pick up in a few days. Come and create a unique art piece (all materials).

Learning to Love Pan Pastel Workshop
Pan pastels are a 21st century invention. In this one-day workshop students will try and explore the many possibilities of this amazing new medium and acquire a basic understanding and working knowledge of their use. Pan pastels are truly new and different from the soft pastels on which they are based. They do not create a dusty mess, are easy to handle, and have a consistency that almost feels creamy although they are a dry medium. Materials are included and provided in this workshop allowing students to experiment with pan pastels without having to commit to the expense of buying them. However, bring a brown bag with lunch or snacks.
